Under Construction.
We are working with our app development partner, Red Space and RBC Foundation to streamline the app experience.
The Light in the Forest App has been developed and piloted at Acadia university with the help of professor Jamie Symonds and computer science students Shelby Pink, Errol DaRocha and app developer Andrew Burke.
The intention of the app is to provide a simple calming interface consisting of interactive animations of Holly's original art, forest sounds and music. The second important function will be a way-finding feature (geo location) that will allow people quick access to mental wellness support. These "supports" may be as immediate as emergency mental health services or a list of hiking trails etc.
The app was alpha tested during the fall of 2022 and is scheduled to be launched in January 2024. Thank you to the Mud Creek Rotary for their founding support.
